The Savannah Project

By thewowfactory on Jan 20 2010 | 347 Comments

We haven’t been saying much about it, but The WOW Factor-y is currently in production on the Savannah project. This project is for a church preschool area and is going to have a “beach” theme. Included in this themed environment will be about 1,500 square feet of custom cartoon wallpaper, 10  beach building sculptures as door frames in their hallway, a faux palm tree, a check in desk and 3 kiosks. We are really excited about this project and believe that it is going to be a beautiful new addition to our portfolio. We are not yet displaying all the images, but we will be shorty.

The WOW Factor-y's Stage Props

By thewowfactory on Jan 15 2010 | 1275 Comments

I just wanted to take a minute and talk about stage props. One of the great things about The WOW Factor-y is that about eighty percent of our product is EPS foam based which means it is very lightweight. A lot of people have been surprised when they go to pick up our product expecting it to weigh what it looks like it should, only to find out that it's so light the can lift I all by themselves. As a matter of fact, most of our product could be lifted by a single person if it wasn't so big.

This is great news for the person who wants us to build stage props. Because stage events such as plays many times require several sets, the stage crews need a way to move stage props quickly. This could be very difficult when the props are made of wood. So this is obviously where The WOW Factor-y and our foam props come in.

Hampton, VA Wallpaper

By thewowfactory on Jan 08 2010 | 574 Comments

One project that we have not yet mentioned is the Hampton VA project. We finished this project a couple of months ago and it was definitely an experience. Normally we will sub out all of our custom wallpaper projects, but since this one was only wallpaper with no props, Chris Towe and I figured that it would be good experience and install 1,500 square feet of wall mural ourselves…WOW!! Now, I will say that as much of a learning curb as it was to install 55” wallpaper sheets, we did an impeccable job and now we have the experience if it comes down to us having to ever do it out of necessity…I, however, don’t really care to ever do it again!

The Apple Project

By thewowfactory on Dec 16 2009 | 621 Comments

So a couple of weeks ago We installed "The Apple Project". "A Touch of Eden" in Montgomery AL hired us to build three pieces, an apple core check in desk and two apple slices to mount on the back wall. I have to say that out of all the intricate pieces we have built through the years, this project has probably had as great of a response as any of them. Because we wanted to capture a little more of a realistic look than most of our props for children's ministry or kid's stage set pieces, we knew that we needed to make them with a smooth and glossy finish. The apple core check-in desk, especially, has a very glossy finish and has the appeal of a wet scrumptious apple.

Our New Website

By thewowfactory on Oct 11 2009 | 608 Comments

So we have just recently put up our new website. click on The WOW Factory's Themed Environments. We decided to redesign the website in order to make it easier to navigate. when presenting our company to the outside world we definitely think that our best advertising is the pictures of our props and themed environments. This new website presents our themed atmosphere on the front page as well as makes it easy to find our galleries.

Another thing we have done is we have placed referalls on the header. We feel that we have made some happy customer since we have been in business and we might as well let our potential customers hear what our regular customers are saying about our service.

Crates for a lasertag facility

By thewowfactory on Aug 04 2009 | 521 Comments

Here are some crates that we built for a laser tag facility in Illinois. We built twenty of these things which may not seem like alot until you consider that twenty crates mean one hundred sides. These took quite a bit out of me, especially shipping them!

The guys that did the airbrush were incredible.

By thewowfactory on Aug 04 2009 | 1161 Comments

Here is a picture of a custom church logo that we made for a Church of God in Athens TN. Chris Towe created this one and he did an incredible job. It almost looks as if it was made out of stained glass. Now theres a concept...3D stained glass!

New Games

By thewowfactory on Aug 04 2009 | 631 Comments

We have just completed building a game show style spin wheel and plinko game.

The custom built spinwheel stands about eight foot high and has a six and a half foot wheel. One of the best things about it is that it has 36 lights on the wheel itself which looks phenomenal. Another great things about this functional game show prop is that it has a metal face. The front slots are magnetic and can be easily changed out for new ones.

The Plinko Game is also eight foot tall and can easily be customized by the customer. The whole front is printed so that we can easily place your organizations logo inside the peg area.

Plinko and Spin Wheel project

By thewowfactory on Jul 14 2009 | 510 Comments
So we are finishing up with building twenty crates for a laser tag facility and we are just about to start working on two other projects. The first one is a logo for the front of a church which includes a dimensional globe. The second one is really exciting, we are going to build a plinko game and a game show style spin wheel. Here is the artwork for both pieces.
